Friends of the children operates a mentoring program that connects Greater Boston’s most vulnerable children with mentors from the time they enter the program until their high school graduation. South Coastal Counties Legal Services (SCCLS) places 28 recent college or law school graduates with legal service organizations that provide assistance to low-income people in civil (non-criminal) matters.  Due to the demand, these organizations focus their priorities in areas of domestic violence, homelessness, immigration status, debt and finance, education, social security and health insurance.
