Community Service-Learning in Massachusetts
Community Service-Learning Partnership
The Community Service-Learning Partnership Initiative is a collaboration between MSA and the Massachusetts Department of Education (DOE). As part of this federal Learn & Serve America initiative, MSA and the DOE regularly convene a committee of statewide CSL advisors. In addition, MSA provides coordination, training and outreach for CSL projects conducted by schools and community-based organizations (CBOs).
In FY07, fifteen school district/CBO teams received grants of approximately $20,00 each to conduct CSL projects. The districts participating in the Community Service-Learning Partnership Initiative are:
