Each year the Massachusetts Service Alliance invests funds to support innovation in service.  This year the Massachusetts Service Alliance is pleased to announce the following service initiatives:

Volunteer Week Project Initiative

The 2008 Volunteer Week Project Initiative is designed to shine a spotlight on volunteer engagement in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and encourage additional community members to volunteer, through projects conducted during one of the following national observances:  National Volunteer Week (April 25 – May 3), National Youth Service Day (April 25 – 28), Join Hands Day (May 3), or AmeriCorps Week (May 11 – 18).  Funded projects focused on one of the following areas: Youth Leadership and Service-Learning, Nonprofit Capacity Building/Engaging New Community Volunteers, or local service projects coordinated by currently-funded Massachusetts
