Through generous state and federal funding, including the support of AmeriCorps' Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF), the Massachusetts Service Alliance has successfully leveraged tens of thousands of volunteers by supporting the volunteer sector through trainings, funding opportunities, and resources. Through our volunteerism initiatives department, in 2025 alone, MSA directly empowered 7,426 volunteers who contributed 58,536 - an estimated value of $2,512,365

The goal of the Youth Career Pathways Initiative (YCPI) is to strengthen and sustain the ability of organizations to support volunteer work that allow youth to develop meaningful and tangible work-related skills and/or explore a variety of work environments and career options.
